playaround10工作方的主題延續08年、09年玩趣工作坊的精神，以FLOSS(Free/Libre Open Source Softwear)開放源碼軟體應用，探討當代社會議題及媒體藝術創作上的結合。著重於共同創作的合作精神，找出實現方法與共識是為學習過成中重要的接著劑。數位文化不只是硬體產物，更是當代文化重要的一環，學習新知與生存技巧的軌道之一。網站資料庫以FLOSS相關內容為主，書冊將以CC創用分享發行。今年工作坊的課程內容結合智慧材料、電子生巷、互動程式、實體運算、DIY電子電路、音景、社群經營鄧各種有趣的學課程與混合創作，並開放國際學生報名參與，除國際的跨領域交流外，更營造出絕佳跨文化的學習與創作環境。
PlayAround 2010 – DIWO Culture; DIWO is the abbreviation of Do-It-With-Others, several thematic divisions and pedagogic structures ranged topics and comtemporary practices of open source programming language for artists, covered PureData, Processing and openFrameworks (module A, D, G) in parallel of building up interactive installation with the introduction of physical computing with Arduino, network protocol and various of sensor (module B, D, F, G). Other aspects of comtemporary art practices are also embeded as fundemental perspectives; sound art (module A, C, E, F), invoking of social condition and artifice (module B, C, D, H), as well as of the understanding of mechanismsof simple object and its reactive playfulness (module B, D, E, F, H).
